We continue to improve the Cloud Community experience for you, your Visitors, Guests, and Members.

We are working on some really big changes and thought is best to start a conversation with you about what’s coming.  So, let’s start the sharing…

No More Passwords

Yup, that’s right, we are doing away with passwords.  

Why?

Because we want to make access easier, and avoid the complexity of forcing hard to remember passwords changes every 3 months.  So, starting 11/30/2022 the email address and password combination will be changed with email and One Time Password (OTP), and we will give you two additional authentication methods.

Community Dashboards

Active communities have many spaces where community members need to visit to stay engaged and informed. Community Boards to the rescue!  Everything you need to stay informed and engaged in one place.

LinkedIn Registration and login

Registration to social media accounts has been added. You can now access and create the community’s LinkedIn account from the site.

Who does this impact?

  • Community Admins

What is the impact?

  1. When clicking the LinkedIn login or registration, you will be presented with the Linkedin login screen. 
  2. When accessing an account location with LinkedIn and the new user to the account & the location, and the organization’s new registration verification turned on, they will be presented with the profile page and their profile is prepopulated with the following information:
    1. Profile Picture
    2. First Name
    3. Last Name
    4. Email Address
    5. Phone
  3. When accessing an account location with LinkedIn and you are an existing user of the Account and a New User to the Account Location, and the organization’s new registration verification is turned on, then my existing profile is associated with the account location and I am presented with an account verification message informing me that my access has to be granted by the admin.
  4. When accessing an account location with LinkedIn and you are an existing user of the Account and you have a profile that is associated with the Account Location, then you are granted access to the account location.

Enhancement: Community Meetings

July is Meeting Month… Yup, it hurts just typing that… a month’s worth of meetings… feels like jury duty…, well that’s an experience for another update.  For this update, we’re making meetings a little easier, and faster, with Meeting Activities. 

Who does this impact?

  • Community Members 
  • Meeting Secretaries, 
  • Meeting Chairs 

What is the impact?

  1. Meeting Secretaries and Chairs have a new meeting agenda Item menu, and that menu has the Meeting Activity feature.  The Meeting Activity makes it easy to record Motions, Tasks, and Notes.  
  2. The Calendar Meeting View has been updated so that community members can see the meeting roles, RSVP counts, and access the meeting agenda and minutes.

Enhancement: Member Profile

A Cloud Community is a great way to keep members informed and engaged.  Now Members can tell a Cloud Community what Community Activities they are interested in, and it will let them know when that activity has occurred.

What is the impact?

  1. When a Community Admin is working with a Member’s profile, then they can turn on or off community subscription. 
  2. When a Community Member is working with their profile, then they can turn on or off community subscriptions.

Upload image or use the media library

Uploading images is now easier and quicker with the updated features and fixes.

Who does this impact?

  • Community Admins 
  • Community Members
  • Community Users

What is the impact?

  • Display upload and media library icon when adding a picture
  • While uploading an image size above 10 MB, you will still see the gray image container.
  • Upload image limitation crossed, the message should be user friendly not server error message, renamed “Error” to “Alert“
  • Buttons renamed to “Upload From Computer” and “Use Media Library”
  • Files uploaded from the computer are saved in the media library.

New Feature: Website Builder 

Exciting news for users working with the website builder. You can now add a page that will list product categories, so that website visitors can see a specific product line.

What is the impact?

  • As a website builder, when you click to add a page, then you will see a template called Product Type
  • When selecting the template called Product type, you can select the Product Type and Categories that you want to be displayed.

We have fixed the following issues/errors this month:

CLONE – Default Reply-to address is not used

Error:

When a guest enrolls, the reply to the address is donotreply@thecommunitycloud.com

Status:

This has been fixed. When they do not reply value is set in location preferences, then all emails sent from TCC should come from the email address.

Unable to set role and community title for guest membership level

Error: 

No edit option or a way to confirm what community title and role is being assigned

Status:

This error has been fixed.

Unable to set the membership renewal date

Error: 

Users are unable to view and set the membership renewal dates.  

Status:

This error is fixed. We added a membership renewal date field in the manage member profile access page.

Delete auto post share

Error:

As a member, I should be able to delete auto-post shares.

Status:
This is fixed.

Unable to delete media library image

Error:

Members and years are not able to delete media library images.

Status:
This is fixed. We restored the missing click event in the bulk delete button.
